The location offers possibilities for hiking or biking and generally nature loving activities plus you may explore the whole west Crete and its merits. The distance from Chania airport is 34km (35min drive) from Souda bay port 20km(less than 20min drive) and from Heraklion port or airport 170km (less than 2h drive).

The lively Platanias is 2km away with banks, post office services and all kinds of tourist shops and clubs at your disposal.

The quiet unspoiled beach, where you may swim or do snorkeling, is 300m away but beware of the signs that mark where Careta-careta turtle lay its eggs!
